Matt is the Founder and CEO of Storage Star, a vertically integrated self-storage investment company founded in 2017. Before launching Storage Star, Matt served as President of FollettUSA, a California-based real estate firm investing in manufactured home communities and self-storage. Earlier in his career, he was a Principal at American Infrastructure Funds, where he helped found the firm’s manufactured housing, agriculture, and rail infrastructure investment strategies, and worked at NGP Energy Capital Management and Goldman Sachs. Matt serves as Chairman of the California Self-Storage Association and sits on advisory boards for the Stanford Real Estate Council, the UC Berkeley Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics, and the University of Notre Dame Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate. He holds an MBA from Stanford and a BA from the University of Notre Dame. Outside of work, Matt enjoys running, snow sports, hiking, golf, and time with family.
